I know this is probably the 189495th post about this but still.

After this pig of a job, one would think everything would work as it should, but no.
Have problems selecting gears, especially reverse, biting point is right near the floor.

Have tried pulling the pedal, stamping on it hard a few times, driven 150 miles from Wales and it's still shit! Angry

Any suggestions?

Mines exactly the same as you discribed also selecting reverse is a mother f*cker. Brought a valeo clutch and pug clutch cable also. Although the clutch isn't slipping. I still reckon its both in my case . But defo give the cable a shot.

The cable goes into an adjuster (what looks like an adjuster) on top of the box.....
Just underneath the battery tray:

Can't adjust anything with that plastic thingy.

Also noticed that can easily select gears in the morning, inc the reverse. However after driving for 15 mins it becomes worse.

Have you changed your gb oil recently? Also it could be re clutch fork bearing iirc when I took my box apart there were two plastic washers that the clutch fork sits in, they could be 'greaseless' and when they get hot create friction making it harder.....

Have you got Pauls number? (from reading) if you have give him a shout, if not I have.

Oil was changed 3 months ago. Everything is pointing where the box would need to come off, hopefully can arrange this with Paul as you say.

Either way, thanks for your input.

You can try pulling on the cable at the gearbox end – this will cause auto adjuster to re-adjust and might change the biting point on the clutch.

With clutch judder – when changing the clutch it would be good to skim the flywheel.
