i shall be breaking my 306 GTi 6 soon to put the engine into my 309 Goodwood

can someone just confirm to unlock the ecu on the 306 i just need to disconect the ecu whilst the engine is running

will it then be fine to use in the 309 with the same engine and loom?

cheers

paul

i usually cut them at the small plug (inner wing) wires are marked 820,821,822 but i think for your conversion it may be better to cut the wires right out from the ecu plug, i'll have a look at the wiring diagram at work tomorrow and see what numbers they are that side (if different)

At the ecu side the cables are still 820,821 but 822 is through the multi relay thats behind the battery so i'd say just cut them at the small loom plug just incase

No need to cut any wires out but it's a bodge not too, As the 309 will not have the transponder carried across so it won;t lock again.
