hi people spoke to mikeanics motorsports 2day, thanks for putting me in contact with him, he has told me to have a new ecu first cause hes told me that the standard ecu will not like the cams i have put in. he told me it will run rich and it is doin, it also stall's which he told me it will, any ideas on this, does this sound right and if so which ecu should i have

He should of recomended one I would have thought as mappers tend to like 'X' so I would go with that

i think he said a omex 600 which i could get for £540 off him without fiiting, and not sure how much with fitting and he wanted the car for a week

always best to use the ecu that your mapper likes. remember you need a loom with that if that price didnt include one. there a few hundred too

also wayne @ chipwizards can remap your standard ecu to suit those cams im sure. its what alot of the s/c boys have done

well think he said it cum with a loom. he also told me that the standard ecu is hard to remap, he said he didnt know any1 who had and done a good job

ok, yeah wayne at chipwizards can remap the standard ones. he is the only person i know who can do them. loads of people have used him on here mainly supercharged peeps i think though

An Alfa specialist in Leeds can remap o.e ecu's, they did the Rallye Roland Rat owns now.

Only thing with the Omex you need the 710 one to control the Coil packs or you have to use the XSi coil pack or HT leads.
This is the main reason I use Emerald in these engine's

Think i used a Vauxhall XE Coil pack with mine.
