Not much to them to be honest about £35 from places like gsf etc, most of them now need to be drilled out as they seize in. will need to go on a computer to see which one has failed or you could measure resistance with a multi metre.

what Carl said, it doesn't affect the brakes one bit BTW, only the anti lock function, unless its a PH3 where it does the EBD.

It could be clogged with just too much dirt on it's teethes,
as it did with my car, it went back to function normal after i cleaned thoroughly all 4 sensors .

You can test the sensors by checking resistance. The values are in autodata IIRC. I can post them up tonight if you want them?

You can check if you have ebd by looking at the rear beam, cars with it won't have the load sensing valve on it.

Could be a broken ring, Common on 06's
this causes the brakes to think they are locking up when they are far from it and making the ABS work far too early

New shaft or wheel bearing on the rear, I know my my 306's ABS light came on it broke a 2 week old brand new sensor because of the ring snapping the end off,

The ABS is a self contained system and won't affect anything else when it fails so if you have electrics dimming when the ABS light is on then that points to an earthing issue.
