Good Morning AllI have the chance to buy a 306 1.8 petrol, but the AC compressor is seized and although it the car starts and runs etc. i have been told not to drive it as there is not power steering and the battery will not charge. My question is if i get a new anxillary belt but for a 306 without AC, will i be able to drive it as i wont be attaching the AC compressor. Is this possible. Cheers Nick |

You would need the the ancillery bracket off the non AC model too.. Then you would have to go through the absolute ball ache of fitting it. Better option would be to get hold of a not nackered ac compressor. |

The reason for the question is that they are $1000 over here is Australia so not a cheap part to obtain. |

Just buy a second hand one doesnt have to work as long as the pulley moves. Perhaps someone on here has one they could post would cost a bit but cheaper than your alternative. |
