Please please help me out guys as i am literally at my whits end with this stupid bloody car.

As per previous thread put a new engine in and the car just turns over. Gave up trying to sort it myself and got to the point where the car wasn't priming the fuel pump and wasn't giving a spark. Ok so to me that sounds like an immobilisor reset seeing as the car was sat for just over a year without a battery on it.

So based on this and the little alarm light under the blower outlet staying on when turning the car over i decided to get the key re-paired to the car.
Did this still no joy, then gave in after many Snap-on diagnostic machines rejected the car by giving it to a main dealer for an immobilisor reset.

Ohh sorry sir we can't identify the fault and the technician thinks he will need a further 2 hours to investigate why it won't start he thinks its a wiring fault. i reply with how much???

£300 which includes the plug in so far!!! Oh no we are not having that i say.

So i'm back to square one with a 6 i have just thrown loads of money at that won't start and nobody knows what to do with. I have checked the following;
Earth Cables good - check
brand new battery - check
ecu cable, knock and cam sensor's good - check
power going to ecu - check
all fuses - check
fuel pump actually works - check

Now the only thing i can think of is a relay which i can do myself.

A) How do i test a relay?
Cool WHich relay's do what a diagram or picture would be great?
C) It looks like i have some missing as there are alot of holes for relays but i dont know what goes where?

If anyone can offer advice or knows what to do and can come and fix it i will pay them.

Really need help on this lads as come wednesday i am not able to get to work.

Many Thanks
Josh

DO you know if the small alarm light is meant to stay on when turning the car over?

I cant remember tbh, my ecu has been unlocked for some time, so its messed everything up on my car LOL

With regards to the immobilsier, if you still think it is that, you could just swop the entire setup over from another car, key, ecu and ignition barrel ring.

Or find out how to bypass it, the odd few on hear know how to do it, i did, but i forgot how to do it LOL

Well that would probably be the first thing i'd do as i don't care about it having one or not i just need it to run and because its not giving both spark and fuel it points to that.

Anyone on here know how to bypass immobilisor?

The LED is for the alarm only and is a separate system from the immobiliser setup HTH Thumbs up

Have you checked the fuel pump/ignition relay that is supposed to be mounted behind the battery/ecu box ? Sounds like yours has got damp and rusted up while the motor was out - mine did the same - no fuel pump prime and no spark.

Ok so i have tested the fuel pump relay and it is clicking when the ignition is switched on but still no fuel pump prime or spark?. I am now thinking maybe unlocked ECU to see if that will start it? Or just unlock the one i have??? What you think??
