trying to drop the gearbox and removed everything except the clutch arm. Tried soaking the arm in wd40 and full force with the mole grips but will not budge. Presume only solution is the angle grider or has anyone got another answer.

If you really can't get the pin out you can bend the arm up and out of the way.

yes bend arm up and the attack the pin once box is out

i used a small drill bit to drill through the pin. Then i put i needle through the hole and used that for leverage to pull the pin out Smile
