Have got a problem with the rear suspension of my 6 now.
After reading several threads it may be the rear beam, but here are the symptoms:

1. Squeaking from left side rear

2. Knocking from left side rear (not like rear beam mount knock though)more a dull thud type knock.

3. Doesn't feel very well damped at left side rear.

4. There is also a high metallic knock/tap audible outside when going over small bumps along with the squeak.

I have had a look for any loose or obvious problems but cannot see anything.

Any help would be appreciated

Yeah am considering that actually.
Shocks are Pug ones approx 20 mths old, but could be a faulty one (from Peugeot? surely not! Most reliable manufacturer ever....) and this would explain the thud and poor body control...

What about the Squeak and rattle though, never had that with a shock before myself?

20 months old? very unlikely.

more likely to be mounting or ARB/Beam issues.
