I'm on the verge of buying a 6 for track and road and would like to ask you guys wot set up would be best?

Would like to keep standard cyclones so what would be max size i could go for?

Also can u go bigger on rear or would i waste my money on them?

Tryin to keep to a reasonable budget!

Cheers for any helpBig grin

By the sounds of things you would be best upgrading to braided hoses and improved pads front and back. Also upgrade the the brake fluid while you are at it and you will have yourself a solid setup for road and track Yes

Any more and it starts to get expensive and may really not be needed No

Agree with Tom^^^^

Sort of anyway.
I'd just put decent pads on the front and leave the rears as std road going pads otherwise the back becomes overly grabby / snatchy (IMO)

Aim to spend about ~£160 on front pads and you will get a decent set for that in most brands.

Disks dont need to be anything special; I think I got OE disks all round from bpb for about £50.

Your first error is keeping the standard cyclones. They are heavy and narrow. The difference to handling and acceleration a nice 7" wide 15" wheel that weighs under 6kg makes is huge.

Keep the rears standard, get better front pads, Carbon Lorraine RC5s would be fine for what you need.
