if its a standard gti6 205 with a 1.9 box i'd doubt if it will pull under 6 seconds. probably does that while hes talking about it down the pub... tbh in a 205 theres no point using 6 gears but in a 306 you may aswell stick with the 6 ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |

Why a BE1, BE1 and BE3 are the same ratios wise, the 1.6 (205) box will be better as the 5th gear speed is around 19.0 mph per 1000rpm so you can work that out yourself.1.9 is 20.9, but if you use the 4.4 in them then it's down to around 17mph ________________________________________ 306 Rallye Sptint/Race Car, 205 CTI 1.9 8v to name a fewRoad, Track and Race/Rally car preparation to your personal requirements, Full Workshop & Diagnostic Facilities New and Second parts, from Plugs to Turbo's We now also carry out Routine Servicing www.pugracing.com & FB Page, https://www.facebook.com/PugRacing Ebay; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pug-Racing-Shop 2012/2013/2014/2019 Class Winners at Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb & Joint overall, Class record too along the way, |

i'd personally use a 1.9 8v be3 box or an mi16 box.i ran a 1.6 be3 for a while, even though you get a little more acceleration i dont think its worth it, overall the 1.9 or mi box is the one to go for. These are my personal views and experiances though are you going to be running cams on the standard bottom end? if so check out the max lift @ TDC thread, that will change your mind ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |

i've run both the 1.6 (currently fitted) and a 1.9 BE1 in my 205146 is probably from a 1.9 1.9 box is not wayyyyyyy to long at all, it was fine, nice for cruising and fine on track, i took mine out as ai had a niggly fault. i'll be going back to a 1.9 soon, as i think my 1.6 will rev out too quick, with a little more power ________________________________________ Do you need a 205 > 306 gti6 plug and go engine loom? I;ve got a 1.6 box with a 4.8, Still a top speed of 135mph, Worst case I;d use the same box with a 4.4 on anything on track, waste of time otherwise________________________________________ 306 Rallye Sptint/Race Car, 205 CTI 1.9 8v to name a fewRoad, Track and Race/Rally car preparation to your personal requirements, Full Workshop & Diagnostic Facilities New and Second parts, from Plugs to Turbo's We now also carry out Routine Servicing www.pugracing.com & FB Page, https://www.facebook.com/PugRacing Ebay; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pug-Racing-Shop 2012/2013/2014/2019 Class Winners at Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb & Joint overall, Class record too along the way, |
