Recently fitted '6 brakes to my XS and have noticed when braking the steering wheel judders/wobbles.Looked at the discs and on the drivers side there is a thin ring of rust on the inside of the disc of about 5 or 6mm. I was wondering if this could be the cause of the juddering due to an imbalance when braking and if it is the pads not making contact due to the calliper pins being worn? Any ideas? |

Are you sure you've got the right size pads? Mine failed its MOT on brake balance, so I fitted new discs&pads, turns out the old pads were meant to go with hdi/xs/xsi discs  see here ________________________________________ High boost '6 for weekends406 2.1 Executive for weekdays |

Yeah I'm pretty sure they are the right pads as the passenger side doesn't have this 'rust ring' and the pads and discs were used by the guy I bought them off who I've known for years.They were slightly larger in respect to my old 266mm ones anyway. |
