Hello Smile
I have a GTI-6 (phase2), which I bought for track racing (amateur).

I have a problem with Air Conditioning. Sometimes it switches on during race, and I usually see that it is on, after finishing the last lap.
It has happened AC to turn on even when I had put the temperature selector in highest "red" position.

I need to know which is the proper and effective way of disabling the AC during track usage.

10x in advance

There are a few things you could unplug.

Unplugging the pressure switch near the PAS reservoir is probably the easiest way and there's also the compressor relay in the engine bay fusebox and the compressor clutch connector down near the front of the engine block too.

Any of those will disable the AC without killing the interior fan motor completely.

If you only use the car on track then your best option would be to just remove the system completely.

Thanks Smile
Just for information, how do i recognize the compressor relay? I am thinking of addign a button on a easy place inside the car, that will cut this relay. Smile

The car is used primary on tracks, but time to time drive in the city (where the AC comes in use) Smile
