Hi guys,

my car has developed another knocking noise after fixing the last one. This one is a bit different to the usual's though. It knocks on hard braking and on hard acceleration and is definitely from the drivers side.

The engine mounts are all new and there is almost no movement in the engine (top mount chocked as well). I've also checked the brakes and they seem to be fine as well. Within the last 10k it has had a new wishbone, droplink and balljoint (all lemforder parts) as well as new top mounts and shocks in the last 25k. The only renewable part I haven't changes are the ARB bushes, which I have bought but not fitted. The current ones seem fine but I might as well change them since I've done everything else.

The only thing I can think of is that I noticed today that driver's side CV gaiter is leaking a very small amount of grease. Could this be the cause of the noise described? Or should I be looking at other possibilities such as an ovalled hub hole?
