Hi all,

I currently have a phase 1 supercharged 6 with richW kit and maping. Does anyone know if the eprom is compatible with a phase 2/3 ecu? (If i socket the new ecu with appropriate plcc socket) or will I need to get a different mapped eprom? As the engine has reached the end of its life in the current car and am looking for a newer 6 and want to transplant the kit.

Thanks In advance!

Don't even need to take the loom, just soft unlock the ecu and move it to another car.

And the phase 1 ecu will work in a phase 3 if unlocked with no issues?

I wasn't sure if Rich unlocked the ecu's at the same time or not tbh, I soft unlocked mine before it went off to Rich anyway.

Really? I can't start mine without putting the pin code in? Does that matter?

put the pin in so it's unlocked and then remove it from the car so it can't relock it. then don't ever put it back in the p1, and when you move it to the p3, it'll be soft unlocked i'm guessing. dont know how the p3 immobiliser transponder thing will react though, i imagine it'd stay unlocked

Thanks, for all the help guys.

Maybe I could disconnect the transponder module to be sure that it doesn't interfere. Haven't found a car I like yet though so we'll have to see.

Thanks again.
