Hi all,

I seem to have developed a leaking fuel hose problem...

Had a petrolly smell for a few days, so following advice found on here, ran the engine with the bonnet up.
I can see petrol leaking out from the top hose in the pictures below.

This looks like just a length cut to size, generic petrol hose ? So I should be able to just swap it out ?

The pipe upto the square conenctors is also split, tho not leaking yet...

Are these pipes a standard part that I can get from partco etc, or is it a pug dealer only part ?
Do I need to change the square white and green bits too ?
Any idea on price ?

and difficulty to change ? it looks straightforward...

The plastic squares are notorious for leaking, so check it's not coming from there.

Otherwise the hose itself is just generic fuel hose - one should be 8mm the other 10mm iirc. Available from motor factors (and Halfrauds). Ideally want to use some proper fuel hose clips rather than just generic jubilee clips too.. (the Halfords lengths ones come with suitable clips IIRC - but ffs find someone with a trade card, they're a p*ss-take retail!)

As straightforward as it looks to change, but worth tripping the inertia switch with the engine running (or pulling the fuel pump fuse) to remove as much fuel from the lines as possible Thumbs up

I would strongly recommend fitting a 10-8mm reducer on the 10mm hose because the car end is 8mm.

Do you mean both pipes at the car/pump end are 8mm, but one changes to 10mm when it gets to the engine end ?

is that something my local partco will have ?

thanks for the advice guys, I think I'll change the whole pipes, to look like this ?.

Does that look like an ok/safe setup ? I've seen the comments about making sure its kept clear of any pulleys etc..

So I need about 1 metre of 8mm and 10mm fuel pipe, and some clips..

which is the 8mm and which is 10mm tho ?
Looking at the pictures, it seems the green is the 8mm, and white the 10mm ?
