Does any one know if the out CV comes off to change the boot? or is it just the inner and the outer is fixed?

Any info pretty quick would be good, need to order some bits asap to sort mine this weekend

they do come off on all but the 1.4 non abs cars.

best boot kits I've used were pug o.e and GKN, gsf do GKN though not always.

there is a round wire clip that holds the CV on, all you need to do is knock the joint off with a copper hammer (GKN kits include the clip)

The outer CV joint needs to be knocked off to replace the boot. Have a look here

It's easier to do it with the shaft off the car so make sure you get a replacement driveshaft oil seal for whatever side you are working on
