Hi, my dad's peugrot 405 is playing up, when you switch the indicator off sometimes it doesn't disengage. Infact sometimes the sound plays doube the speed of before even though the actual signal is switched off. What can cause this?

It's a 1.9td if it makes a difference.

usually caused by the stalk shorting.

out of interest , when this happens do the lights flash aswell?
