Hi,

My 2000 306 GTI6 has started to hesitate a lot when accelerating through the gears. I have had a pressure test carried out by my local Peugeot garage and they assured me the head gasket was fine they changed the spark plugs and the coil pack and this fixed the issue for a few weeks but to my huge frustration the hesitating has returned.

Is this a first or can someone shed some light on this

Possibly the idle control valve? Try locating it and taking it out and cleaning it.

This can cause stalling when you dip the clutch and hesitation.

I had problems and cleaned mine, not a problem since.

Be sure to reset the battery when you take it out to clean it (leave it unplugged for 30mins).
