are the front pads on the 98 (s) 6's the same as the ones for the 406? just picked up some on a bargain from pug but not 100% of the fitment. the guy on the parts desk seemed certain but that doesn't mean squat.

not sure of the part no. the pads are in my car. they looked a slightly different shape when i looked at them but it's been a few months since i last had the pads out.
When you say a different shape but will still fit?! is that safe? i don't want the pads rattling around loose and then flying off and killing a cat.
