Sad times people. Went for a little spirited drive last night as my mate has just had his ST remap delivered. One of them dreamscience thingys. Next thing I know he challenged me to a duel. Wanting to bring it on home for the 6s I accepted.
Next thing I know my car would not go into second it was just grinding away.
Think I have f*cked my diff...
So now my car will not go into second at all it just grinds when you lift the clutch and feels like its only going halfway, and it struggles to stay in reverse.
I pretty confident with Ash and Royston's diognostic that I will be needing a replacement gearbox. But thought I would throw it out to the forum...
So any ideas please?

As yours is charged I would be more inclined to not fit a lightweight flywheel, and put the money towards a diff Yes

I know you said you can't afford it, but if you can stretch to it, makes sense to do while box is off.

Yeah I can see what your saying. Quite a few have lightened flywheels that are charged though so I don't think they will cause any problems?

It won't cause you any problems, but you will see a lot more benefit from an LSD Yes

Although my car still drives just without a second gear. Could wait for a month and hope that my gearbox holds up till then.
