Hi all

Have very little knowledge and hoping for some advice...

Need new all round discs and pads for my 306 HDi D Turbo (2001 Y reg) and thought I would take the opportunity to get some performance parts in there (whilst possibly actually being cheaper than genuine peugeot parts anyway?).

Have looked in some depth through the forums here and just been left confused as to what is best.

Browsing ebay, found these:

Looking for fast road breaks really.
Any thoughts on the above? Can't even work out the make so not at all sure on them.

Oh and drilled or dimpled? Unsure

As I say, don't know where to start, so some help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

dont get drilled, why upgrade the brakes on a slow car?

you do realise them discs and pads wont fit your car as they aint for HDi calipers?

If you have GTi6 disks and calipers at the minute, I've no idea what the HDis come with!!

I think you'd be hard pushed to beat standard disks and Mintex 1144 pads for the road,

Stay away from cheap drilled and grooved disks IMO

Cheers for the feedback.

Yes, slow car, planning an engine change for her when I've got a little more cash together - either a '6 or an xsi 2ltr - plus a lot more playing around with her as I've should have some time and money free in the near future, and just thought I might as well do the brakes while they need changing anyway.

I thought the brake setup for the HDi was exactly the same as for the '6 but maybe I'm wrong..?

Lotek - factors a shop yes? Do you have a link for that?

Thanks for your patience Cool

Buying a 6 instead of p*ssing around with a conversion would be the smarter option.

Yep, that might be an option, will look into it when the time comes.

Call me stupid, but I'm having trouble finding standard discs online.bl Maybe not made by peugeot? Don't know what to search for. Any pointers? Sad
