As i am removing the air bag in the steering wheel, and will be replacing my seats, i expect i will probably get the light coming on.

I want to save weight so can i just remove the ecu and wiring and other bags? will this cause any other problems or just put the lights on?

depends how anal you are. you could just unplug the bulb from the cluster saving getting rid of the ecu etc, not sure if it'll leave the light on or not if you remove the ecu
