i'm rebuilding my head and some tappets are squidgy and others are hard. how do i bleed them? other than shaking them up and down a lot |

they don't need bleeding, the pressure of the oil will force any air bubbles if there are any after the first run, they can take up to 20 minutes to quieten down and often need a proper drive not just a quick rev.you could refresh them following this guide though - http://www.taylor-eng.com/16v_head/16v_head.htm ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

so it doesn't matter if some are hard and others are soft? i just chuck it all back together and they will sort themselves out? the head has been in bits for about 3 months now so i thought any residual pressure in them should have leaked out by now. |

interesting read that, mei. didnt realise the valves are 3 angle cut at factory (or supposed to be!)________________________________________ Team 'unintentional rat look' |
