My cam belt has started squeeking a bit does this matter? It was changed 3k ago??

yes, sounds like it was not corerctly fitted and is putting strain on a bearing or something. Take it back and get it sorted before its too late.

sure it's the cam belt and not alternator belt?

Im quite sure its the cam belt it does sount like its coming from in the casing. I brought the car from a mechanic who had done the cambelt himself at 105k its now on 108k he did mention about a belt started to squeek n he took it off and cleaned it or sumin, so u think i should get it checked
