What cams and have you had new pistons or the old one machined at all? Has it been remapped with the new cams? Both the filter and exhaust will do absolutely nothing for you power wise by the way. Welcome by the way! Put up a project thread or say hello in the general section. The FAQs and search cover a huge amount of info ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

You can run throttle boddies of the standard ecu mate... just need to go to someone who knows what they are doing!Tom. ________________________________________ Thomas - Black 6 rollin' on black 15's...197bhp - 155.8bhp/135.4ft-lb atw |

Yo are looking at £400 for a mapping session, plus whatever your throttle body setup sets you back. ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. Depends if you want to go the home-made route or the Jenvey etc route.Jenveys cost substantially more but are tried and trusted, then again there's nothing to say a well constructed home brew with bike bodies can't work just as well. For home made you'll need the bike bodies (R1 or similar), a spare inlet mani, a way to attach the throttle linkage for a start, plus if you follow Yanni's guide you'll need a new TPS and MAP sensor and plenum to fit them to. Oh and possibly a new fuel pressure regulator. You can get the bits second hand cheap enough, so a few hundred quid plus machining costs plus remap etc Jenveys fit out of the box but you pay for the convenience, a second hand set can still fetch £1k+, plus the cost of mapping your ECU or fitting standalone or piggyback just like with the home made setup. ________________________________________ Bye bye Sundance Kid |

imo the gti6 engines inlets are pretty good anyway, so its either throttle bodies (proper ones, not bodge ebay jo or leave it. ________________________________________ 309 GTi6-T |
