Found that when Im out on the track (or now and again on sprinted B roads drives) when giving it proper beans, that the coolent system is pressuring up and forcing the coolent past the cap, the result is usually that the rad is only 2/3 full.

Ive had this problem for years and not really thought much of it other than keeping an eye on it and keeping it topped up. I even tried a new cap as I suspected the seal was knackered. Anyhow, thinking back its since I fitted the Nissen Alloy rad, so wondering if its not sealing well with it being after market.

So anyone else had similar issues? looking at the racing caps that hold more pressure, worth a try?

is it the rad thats only 2/3 full or the expansion chamber up the side?

if i fill mine to the top it just chucks it out under expansion!

just fit a new o.e one Thumbs up

plus, as mentioned above, the expansion tank will drain itself to about 2/3rds if you overfill.

if its still pressurising then you have a HG issue.
