I have some weird rattling noises coming from it seems under cam covers. This can be heard when the engine is reved up and let off and coming close to idle rpm.

I had a look at the heat shield, but it seems fine. Any ideas? Oh, and I don't have any power loss or any other issues with it.

Thank you. I'll have a look at the plugs and report back.

Well it's sadly not what I expected. The car has lost one of the tensioners while I was driving and fell off. Cambelt was only done about 2000miles ago. So hoping the garage will sort it out for me. Sad

MNPR, would you say it was a rattle/tap? very intermittant, and can be heard when warm if you rev it up slowly and can hear it just rattle/tap intermittantly? you can rev past it and then on the way back down to idle it does it slightly again? thats wot mine does :S

Yes, if you have those symptoms, don't drive. Have it checked.
