Hi Guys,

I haven't been on the forum for the best part of nearly 3 months, mainly due to me buying a new motor and the 306 came off the road while we got some money together for other things.

The 306 is now going to be my "project, Toy, MINE" whatever you want to call it but i have been having issues with it for a while.

I will label them with numbers so if you can help just post your response with a number infront of it so i know which issue your responding too.

1) The car is overheating when stood for a while without moving, i personally think the fuse is gone for the Radiator Fan as the fan doesn't kick in for it. Anyone have any idea's?

2) The side lights don't work on the front and only 1 on the rear works. Not sure what this might be any Idea's?

3) What does the Green Relay switch control under the the steering wheel section? Mine has blown but i am unsure what it controls.

I think thats it, if anyone can help me it is REALLY REALLY appreciated!! I really wanna be driving this car again asap.... Cheers Guys

where in stockport are you? i'm in stockport, might be able to lend a hand one night

1) the rad fans should come on if you unplug the brown sensor from the thermostat housing i believe which will tell you if they are working whatsoever anyway

2) could be earth issue, could be something like the dip-dim resistor (if you have a phase1?)

3) aren't the green ones for interior blower motors? there is a thread about which is which buti can't find it now!

sort of, still coming to grips with wiring diagrams and such but wired all my car up myself, but its probably something removable from another gti6 that may cure it so you canatleast do trial + error on things by swapping known good ones over Yes
