Hi there,

New to this forum so please be patient! I've had a 306 for coming up to 3 years and of late the back wheels have started to sit at an angle (a bit like /-\ rather than |-|) so I can only assume that the torsion beam has gone.

Firstly - how big a job is it to get this done? Is it worth handing it in to a mechanic or is it something I can do myself (with an extra pair of hands as well!). I have axle stands and such like.

Secondly - where am I likely to get ahold of a torsion beam. A scrappies? And as I currently have drum brakes on the rear - how big a job is it if I were to change it to disc brakes?

Sorry for a long first post!

Cheers

Might I point you to the FAQ forum in which you'll find rebuild and replacement guides.
