darktyke Regular Location: sheffield Registered: 15 Jun 2009 Posts: 243 Status: Offline	Post #1 the cambelt on my car was put on less than 10,000 miles. since i got the car it has always made these whurring whistle noises. it recently had its mot and i was told this was my cam belt, now im worried. any ideas what is causing this noise before i take it to a garage and let them tell me? my local garage dosent do belts. cheers.

I can tell you its definitely not the cambelt. I remember thinking there was a slight whining sound from it and discovered that it stops completely if you take off the aux belt.
