Hi guys,

I need some ideas please to diagnose an issue with my brothers HDi. It's an 01 Meridian.

When you turn the ignition on, the normal sequence of events where the airbag light goes on and off, the abs the same, and the ecu light comes on until you start doesn't happen.

Anyone had this? What would be the likely cause of this?

Car starts and drives fine. Is this likely to be a fuse issue? He's not clued up on cars at all and i'm 200 miles from him so can't go and look atm.

Thanks

Simon

i've clarified with him this morning. Abs one is fine, he gets that. The issue is his engine management light, and the air bag lights don't come on at all, not even for the tests the car does. On mine my engine light comes on til i start and them extinguishes. My air bag light does a test and then goes out after 2 secs. Neither of his come on full stop! so it won't show if he gets an error code i guess.

Haha he's no chance of that. Laugh

I'll add it to my to do list I guess. Lectrics are not my forte but hope it's as simple as that. I know they worked when he first got it as i got the car from Mech repairs!

Guess i'll report back when i've seen it. Big grin Ta muchly.
