your best off starting with a full tank of juice and seeing how many miles before the warning light comes on. typicly 300-400 depending on driving style and long or short runs.if its considerably less than this then the car is way over fueling which is usually caused by the green ecu coolant temp sensor on the thermostat housing or the lambda sensor.
Without a fault code reader i cant give you any more help than that.
