right i have a T reg xsi with standard brakes. after the've warmed up, when i stamp on them they make sparks! my discs are good and my pads are only a few months old. i have painted them (very badly) well i was out cruseing tonight and i was told by my buddies that they were doing it should i be worryed or what cuz they still work right :S Crazy

i have no idea ..... i may have painted over! them do some kinds do this? eather way there cheepo's Sad

well i know some fast road/ race pads do it,but not standard ones, are they o.e quality?
it could be that they are below oe quality and are falling apart under the force? Dunno

try fitting some new pads , get some ferodos from halfords Yes

they might be something like carbon lorraine RC5's or 6's if they make sparks.

most pads with a very high metallic content will do this to some extent.

if there's plenty of material left and they work dont worry about it Thumbs up

you will need to clean your wheels one a week btw!

pads fitted right way around seen it before
in a main steelers its not uncommonCrazy

cheers for the help guys well i have truly tested them tonight! still bite hard as ever! even if i may have sheered a spring... but lets not get into that i think im going to chage them anyways just to be on the safe side Big grin
