Will a GTI-6 brake setup fit an XS?

Short answer is yes. I assume the XS has drums on the back?

sounds like a 1.8 XS then, dont forget the front brake hoses, they are longer for a 6.

it is a 1.8xs mate, was going to buy a set of braided hoses for it will these fit gti6 brakes or do they need to be different?

just standard gti6 ones should do just fine, how late is your car though?

very late cars have EBD and both rear lines are the same length due to no rear load compensator, earlier cars had a load compensator and unequal length rear hoses.

its a V reg one registerd jan 2000, just thinking i could do with something a bit better brake wise not that theres much to slow down haha but just thinking of stuff to benefit until the w*nkers at the insurance companies ofer me a half decent quote on a six, how much will a set of lines ruffly set me back?

dunno, ask Miles Thumbs up

my set for a ZX 16v was £43 all in delivered, they'd be the same as a late EBD car.

you need to have a look under the back end to see if you have a load compensator.
