When bleeding the brakes on my 6 a few weeks ago, I managed to strip the threads on one of the rear caliper bleed nipple holes. The nipple still fits but doesn't tighten properly, so I have a very slight brake fluid leak which will fail the MOT.
I've already replaced this caliper once a few years ago due to the all-too-common snapped bleed nipple, and I really don't want to have to buy another one. I was thinking I could use a helicoil-type thread repair on it.
Has anyone else ever tried this on a caliper? Can anyone confirm the thread size? I guess its about M6.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

I wouldn't bother with a Helicoil for the nipple. Just tap it out to the next size up and use a bigger nipple.
