Afternoon guys,

Just a quick question,

Fired the car up this morning, ran for a few seconds then cut out. Turned the key again, did the same, my thoughts were fuel starvation...

Had a quick look around the fuel line area, nothing leaked on the floor so i popped the bonnet and had a quick nosey to find the 2 fuel pipes which go into the fuel rail seem to be leaking slightly...Probably down to wear?

Now my question is can i use any pipe within 15mm diamiter or is the pipe some sort of special high pressure piping? Also when i take the pipes off to replace them, will petrol p*ss out everywhere as its under pressure?

Cheers

You'll get a little fuel seepage, yes. You can minimise this by cutting the fuel pump power with the engine running and letting it stall.

You need to use proper fuel hose though. One is 8mm ID and the other is 10mm ID. It's a good idea to do the ones that come up from under the car too. They are both 8mm ID.

The 10mm is the pipe above the smallest one which is the 8mm...
