Hello I'm new to this forum.

I have a 306 1,6 petrol from 2001.

Symptoms: Upon pressing the A/C button, the A/C system won't cool, then suddenly engages after perhaps 10 minutes of driving, cuts out, engages for long period etc... Now, does not engage at all.

Went to Peugeot dealer, they tested the system, which was ok, pressure okay no leaks. Hence the fault must be electrical.

When I supply 12V directly to the pressostat (Pin 1) the system operates smoothly, i.e. compressor clucth engages, engine fan spins, and cold air enter the passenger compartment.

Hence fault must lie somewhere between the A/C button inside the car and the pressostat.

I guess that some kind of relay connected to the evaporator must be at fault?!

Any help will be much apprieciated. Also how do I access the evaporator or cables/relays etc in the most easy way?
