Ok so moving on the electrical side of the car, Got some somke off of the steering column today but i have read the threads and it could be a short or the stalk.

The drivers window needs the regulator replaced, so if anyone has a spare get in touch. Passenger side window was fine but....... I opened it fully yesterday but it wouldn't go back up!
After slamming the door afew times with the door card removed it eventually went up but it doesnt inspire confidence, anyone know what this could be down too? wiring looks untouched but with the history now coming clear nothing would surprise me

and the v5 says that i am owner no 11 not 4 as it said on the document i saw.

Could be just off the runners the end nearest the mirror. As that was my problem, but then you hear it struggling so to say.

The motor was registering the command to drop he window but not to return it.

Yeah i need to do the loom in the shut soon, not looking forward to it really.

Debating weather to attempt to do it with the door left on.

mine did this it was the actual controller on the driver side
under the passenger side switch button it's self there are 2 small white boxes with little grey/silver buttins on,

there was some kind of broken connection on one of these little white boxes once pressed down it would all work fine so I just cut up a piece of lion bar wrapper shoved it in between the two little blocks
and put it back together

job done! Thumbs up
