My damn engine is still ticking. Engine often stalls and sometimes its hard to fire it up. Definitely wrong timing but could this cause ticking? Strange is, i cant hear it at some point, for example at 2000rpm in 6th gear or at 2500rpm in 5th gear and other points. But as soon as i raise or lower it at around 100rpm i can hear it very loud again.

Maybe a noisy injector? Mine make quite a `ticky` noise. Get a long screwdriver, put one end on each injector and the other to your ear. It should help you to pin point the problem.

No, its definitley not a injector. Car had a campelt failure but Valves and hydraulic lifters are all new.

That is definitely a "tapper" mate, sorry to say. Will require head removal to repair. Yes

Stan.
