Well I have certainly had an interesting weekend.

Took my 306 S16 out for a camping trip with the lady.

All went well until we had packed up and jumped into the car. Turned the key, motor is turning over but not starting!

This is not good when your in the middle of no where with no mobile phone reception!

Anyway I checked many a thing, worked out that the fuel pump was not getting power.

So I got out my jumper pack and a knife, spliced the 2 wires and hot wired the fuel pump under the rear seat. Bush mechanics hey! Buzzing started and she fired up first thing!

However now the cars seems to be fine again starting every time.

Is it the fuel relay or a faulty pump or what?

Cheers!

you mean the one on the back of the battery?

i have an o2 heater, 2x cooling fan relays and a black indicator relay. the fusebox had a 30amp fuse i think for the fuel pump

Yeah I think it is the relay. Can someone tell me how they work. When the car is running the relay is not in use?

Seems to only be a problem starting the car. Once it is running, the fuel pump has no problem operating!
