My mate gave me a brand new never used urban x induction kit air filter today, its just the filter and hes installed it but im not sure its done right as it sounds no different.
He has disconected the air intake pipe where it joins the front at the rad and stuck it there,he also removed the old panel filter.
Is this right or should it be conected to the throttel body tube where it goes into the air box?
I have a 8valve 2.0 xsi,thanks luke

I would put it back to standard, or buy an upgraded panel filter such as a K&N imho. The set up you describe will be doing you no favours even if done properly.

I think you need to put the fuel magnets at their maximum strength setting to see the benefits?

Yeah, it sounds like its been connected to the air intake on the slam panel and the actual air filter removed and therefore the engine will be sucking in un-filtered air. Erm?

lmao at this thread. I've got a picture of a cone filter sitting on the end of the air intake making sure clean filtered air flows over the engine LOL

A bit of local pride. The scene filmed at Norwich station was a particular favourite. Laugh

Geography aside, Alan partridge is superb. Yes

I have one of these air filters on my car and it sounds nice. I didnt want anything as loud as a K&N at the time so was good for me. Makes a cheeky little bwaarp when you give it beans.
