My disk thickness is 19mm and its going in for MOT but not sure what the minimum is, and the edge of the disk is rusty so there is no chance of me seeing the indentation to tell me.Thankyou for any help. |

20mm. If the discs are in visibly good condition then you may get away with them but I'd put new discs on your shopping list.________________________________________ Rich |

Yeah new discs it is. Got to be safe and everything, no good me having a fast car and not being able to stop. This is going to hurt the bank balance. Been looking through the FAQ on what to get. |

They're not that expensive. £50 tops for discs. Another £50 for pads - depending on what you get. I'd stick to one of the well known brands. Mintex standard pads are pretty good I found________________________________________ My old man wrote me a letter from prison once. I got my Brembo discs from GSF, make sure you get the 283mm ones as they sold me the 266mm ones first time. I didnt mind too much as they swapped them for the 283mm ones without having to pay the extra, so saved around £15 ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |
