Hey all,

Just managed to get my Idle control valve off, its now resting in a vat of carb cleaner lol....was having major idle problems.

Just wondered while the air filter etc is off and i can get easy access is there any sensors down there that i can disconnect and clean with wd40, maybe the map sensor...? there are wires down there with brown, white, green connectors on the ends of them and im wondering if its ok to clean the electrical connectors with this stuff??

Also am i ok to spray wd40 into the hole that the ICV goes into to clean that out also?

Hasty replys much appreciated thanks!

Yep to all of the above really. If you take the map sensor off be careful of the membrane inside it.

It will be easier to get the Throttle Position Sensor off too.

Smile
