I have a 1.8 XS. Car cut out on me whilst parked up, it turns over but nothing happens. I have no live at coil pack and fuel pump. I have changed fuel relay, fuel pump and coil pack with my mates car and it made no difference. I've also fitted a new crank sensor and have checked all the fuses in the car.

At the minute it's at an auto electricians. They can't do a code read to the ECU because they can't get into it, I have no engine management light on my dash. We thought it was the ECU, and so the ECU was sent away and tested and has come back fine. I have power going to the ECU but nothing coming out, so thought it could be the immobiliser, but that has now been taken off. Can anyone help, thanks, Ash.

Just got car back last night. I only had 3V instead of 12V at fuel cut off switch because a cable in the wiring loom to the fuel cut off switch had got a break in it somewhere. As far as I understand to rectify this a new cable was run from the fuse box in the engine bay to the fuel cut off switch to give it a 12V feed. Let me know how you get on.
