Mine are standard xsi brakes, the front disks are smaller than a gti6, but they work really well. thought about uprating to gti calipers and disks but they work so well i dont think i need to, i drive like a loon quite a lot and have never had any issues as of yet, if your having problems you probably need new pads/disks or bleading, or you could uprate by replacing with gti6 set up, as for what disk/pads are best i dont know, theres so many out there. |

.........i've been a right doofus! my brakes are fine.. might have something todo with the tyres i got fitted last week, thinking they were the same ... turns out there not! higher compound or someting and that coupled with the warmer weather might be why i cant stop as quick and it feels like there gonna lock up ________________________________________ Team ex "manstone" - "THATS TO LOW!!"..."I KNOW!"Team defeat - bring on the *06! :/ |

It will take a few weeks for any new tyre to bed in and gain full grip. |

Good tyres make a big difference on the 6, search for tyre recommendations. Also stick with standard brake discs with uprated pads Ferodo/Mintex.________________________________________ Spanner Monkeys Monkey SpannerForum Search Clicky |

Oh dear god. If you can't tell that the tyres are the issue rather than the brakes you shouldn't be driving that fast. Muppet.________________________________________ Nothing to see here |
