You need to try and be more specific. Sounds like clutch judder to me if it's just when pulling away.________________________________________ You feed beefburgers to swans. I may have been speeding Mr Policeman but [a] I live for the 306 and [b] did you see that dog? omfg |

If the car is even slightly moving, I don't get it. Had it for about a year, and seems to be getting worse what causes this? Clutch cable? ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

More likely to be the clutch itself I'd have thought... Mine judders a little too, I think it might be due to the slight weep of oil from the crank seal contaminating the friction plate but I haven't looked into it yet. ________________________________________ You feed beefburgers to swans. I'm still sticking with clutch judder. Not easy to diagnose over the internet but it feels very distinctive.________________________________________ You feed beefburgers to swans. I may have been speeding Mr Policeman but [a] I live for the 306 and [b] did you see that dog? omfg |

Changed the clutch and it flew again. How long should clutches last for? I Drive it quick don't get me wrong, but I never do standing starts etc. ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

I've had a bit of clutch judder setting off in 1st for the time I've owned my car (about three and a half years) and it's not become any worse and it doesn't slip. It's the original clutch too, on 137k...Just waiting for it to finally go though |

Difficult to say how long they should last Chris. It depends how they are treated and what gives up when they eventually fail. ________________________________________ You feed beefburgers to swans. Would back up the clutch problem with the vibrating. My phase 3 did this but sold it on before fixing, was getting slightly worse as i drove it more and more. I changed the cable on my phase 2 but doubt it would fix the juddering as only made it smoother and lighter. ________________________________________ Back to my phase 2 in black on the road.Phase 3 sold after spending fortune on it.. it might be worth checking the bottom engine mount too. mine had play in it and when i pulled off it made the dash shake as it got worse was happening at every gear change. new engine mount went it and its all fixed now. cheaper place to start than with the clutch.________________________________________ Peugeot 306 GTi 6BMW 320 td compact M-sport 1967 Mini Cooper 1990 Jaguar XJR 4.0 |

Thanks mark i'll have that checked, but also if you rev slightly on idle it vibrates but past tickover it's fine sounds like it comes from the dash when your in the car ________________________________________ China Blue GTI6 |

I'd this problem b4, bother me a lot, finally found out the 4 months Peugeot original spark plugs caused judder when car starts move. (It’s really like clutch slipping)Now back to normal after replaced new NTK iridium spark plugs. It's weird that the Peugeot plugs burn normal. Try replace a better quality spark plugs first. Hope it can help. |
