i just put the head back on my gti6 after renewing the belt and valves she turned over by hand sweet but when i started it up it sounds like my misses diesel.any ideas before i pull it back off ?

If the hydraulic tappets were drained it can take a minute or so for them to fill up and settle down, until they do they will sound clattery as hell but assuming you dib everything else right its just a case of letting her run for a little longer.

she was running for 15mins and there was plenty of oil getting up

she was running for 15mins b4 i turned her off .would it sound like that if the timing was out

what bottom pully have you got fitted as the two pice ones can slip and cause you to time the engine incorectly. and poss bend your new valves
