Hi guys,

My Rallye is sounding a little rough on start up so thought I would get some new sparkies to see if that improves it at all.

Came across these NGK's on ebay that mention that they are 'tuned'? is this standard with all NGK sparkie or have these ones been tweaked?

Plus the same guy is selling the same NGK plugs cheaper but they dont see 'tuned' on them - are they both the same or is there any difference you reckon?

I'd just fit the stock ones tbh, never seen any difference from a car that used expensive ones.

I think the "tuned" ones are a different heat grade.

so the 'tuned' ones would be for if I've tuned my Rallye? Which I havent so the standard NGK would be the ones to go for?

Just go down your local motor factors and buy a set of the correct ngk r plugs.
Should be around ten pound for the set and they will be fine.
I always use then and havent had a problem

I fitted Denso Iridiums into my 6 as part of an over haul of breathing and exhaust mods so can't comment directly on them but i don't think the car has ever pulled so strongly or so smoothly as it does now.

Also use them in my LCR and wasn't disappointed with them.

ive fitted a set of these ngk iridiums from ebay and they made a nice difference to the car, didnt make it quicker or anything like that but it seems alot smoother and pulls a bit free'er from low revs, cant say what the difference is with the tuned ones though, email the seller and see what he says Wink but seen as you wont need to change these as often as the standard plugs in any case its a no loose situation really

Changing from old spark plugs to any new set will make the car feel better.

I fitted denso irridiums last time at £45, next time Ill probably use the std NGKs and see if it makes the same old for new difference
