Having a bit of a problem. My 6 is normally starts ok but it has a intermitant fault where it refuses to turn over.

When the key is pushed into the start position it will just click and turn all the aux electrics off. This has happened twice today and once 2 months ago!

The car can be bump started and then runs fine, and will turn over and start off the key next time.

Is this just my starter motor that is on its way out? anything else it could be?

Sounds like starter motor, mine's been doing the same the last week or so. Sounds like the teeth on the motor are catching on the flywheel every now and then.

Picked up a second hand one on the VERY cheap Whistle

Gonna fit it at the weekend and hope it cures it.

check your battery terminals first... then wires to starter as these can break away..

be sure to rule out immobliser after..
