never used one yet, I just set them till they feel right, roughly 45-90 degree twist in the belt without using excessive pressure on the longest run.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

I had various problems after doing a head rebuild on mine which turned out to be a slightly bent cam causing the belt to wobble, but i borrowed a tension gauge from one of the other mechanics at work and i had been setting it correctly anyway, i wouldnt bother mate. Just make sure its not loose and not tight enough to play a tune on! should be able to get about a 45 degree twist on the longest part once all done. Dont forget to turn it over a few times by hand once the new belt is on to make sure you clear the valves! EDIT: (as welshpug says) ________________________________________ Black power baby! never found them hard to bleed tbh, but a pop bottle wedged in the expansion tank with the bottom chopped off to act as an extra reservoir helps as it places the level of the coolant much higher than any of the bleed points.there are 3, Heater pipes, Thermostat housing, and top nearside of the radiator usually. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |
